First-Hand Insights on Starbucks
There are plenty of Starbucks locations in Mérida. The closest Starbucks to Casa Loltún is Starbucks on Paseo de Monteo (No. 465-P.B). It is a nice and large Starbucks, housed in a great colonial building on two floors with a outdoor terrace.
It is also a great option for a cafe to work from if you're looking for a good Wi-Fi connection. But of course, that's what Starbucks are known for.
Opposite (on the other side of the street) is the well-known colonial mansion Casa Vales, which today serves as a branch of Banco Santander.
Mexican cuisine, especially on the Yucatán Peninsula, is something almost everyone raves about. But after a while, many tourists start craving something familiar, whether it’s a coffee, a snack, or just the taste of home.
That’s where Starbucks comes in. No matter where you are in the world, you’ll find the same drinks and treats, making it a comforting spot to take a break and enjoy something you know – and that’s exactly how I feel about it too.

Starbucks in the City Center
You'll find the most central Starbucks in the city - apart from the Starbucks Paseo Montejo - just one block from Plaza Grande on the first floor of the Grand Hotel de Mérida at Parque Hidalgo (Calle 60, No. 59).
As you step into the hotel, you’ll find a Starbucks entrance immediately to your left. Most of the other Starbucks locations in Mérida are in the northern part of the city, often inside large shopping malls. You can check the list above to find one that’s convenient for you.
Starbucks Online
As mentioned above, it's best to consult the official Starbucks store locator if you're looking for the most up-to-date information on a specific location.
The largest Coffee House
Starbucks, founded in 1972, is the largest coffee house chain in the world, with over 30,000 cafes and several hundred thousand employees in more than 80 countries. And there are also a large number of branches in Mérida.
While many visitors prefer local cafés for a more authentic experience, Starbucks remains a reliable option for those who enjoy its familiar menu and atmosphere.
By the way a bit of show-off knowledge: The name Starbucks comes from the helmsman Starbuck in Herman Melville's novel Moby Dick.
