The landmarked colonial house, redesigned by renowned architect Xavier Salas and fully restored in 2022 and 2023, marries colonial heritage with modern architecture. Meanwhile, the new apartments echo the charm of the colonial era. Every piece of furniture is handcrafted by local artisans from Mérida, often using traditional Mexican woods like Tzalam (Mayan walnut) or Parota (burl wood).

Casa Loltún’s garden area is home to an infinity pool and a spacious terrace with a large sunroof, the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun or sip a glass of wine in the evening. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, the soft breeze on your face, and relax on luxurious sun loungers.
The pool’s crystal-clear, sky-blue water invites you to take a refreshing dip. The garden area, with its tropical plants, pool, and covered sun deck, is nestled between the main house and the apartment building, completely enclosed by high walls for privacy and security. There’s also a covered terrace with seating at the main house, as well as an additional dining table for 8 people.

Nestled in a peaceful neighborhood, Casa Loltún is just a 5-minute walk from Paseo de Montejo, Mérida’s vibrant hub, and centrally located near all the historic district’s top attractions.
Explore an array of great places to eat, drink, shop, and discover art galleries, museums, parks, churches, and colorful markets, all just a stone’s throw away. There’s really no need for a car, as everything is within walking distance. A small kiosk just 50 meters away sells food, snacks, drinks, and more.
Casa Loltún is also right next to the brand-new, spectacular Gran Parque La Plancha. In fact, Mérida’s largest and most impressive park is less than 100 meters away. The park spans 220,000 square meters and is the largest of its kind in Latin America. You’ll also have direct access to the Teya Mérida train station, offering connections to Tren Maya, a 1,525-kilometer intercity train that travels around the Yucatán Peninsula.

Behind the Scenes
A while ago, we rented a vacation home where, even before stepping inside, we knew it wasn't right. The photos looked great, but the house felt outdated. Rest assured, that won’t happen with us. We take great care to ensure everything is just right.
Details matter to us. For example, we’ve installed a water softening system for better water quality, the pool is filled with fresh groundwater from our own well, and we’ve included a filtration and circulation system. Wi-Fi is also available in the pool area, and the beds feature super-comfy 30cm high mattresses. We put a lot of heart into Casa Loltún, and we do everything we can to make you feel at home.
