SOCO Mérida and Norte
SOCO Mérida is a small artisan bakery and cafe started in downtown (two blocks southeast of Parque de Santa Lucía). For some, it is the best bakery in town.
In the meantime, the owners have expanded the bakery into a cafe and there is even a second location (SOCO Norte) in the Colonia (neighborhood) México Norte in the - you guess it - north of Mérida.
Whether bread in different variations (try for example the sourdough bread), baguettes, rolls, various crossaints or delicious sweet pastries, it is still baked fresh every morning in the traditional way. Of course, that's also a good argument for the cafe.
You can also get other goodies for breakfast. At SOCO Mérida, for example, avocado toast topped with a poached egg, French toast with fresh raspberries and blackberries, yogurt with homemade mint sauce and granola with seasonal fruit.
Or you could, for example, try the tortilla Española with mushrooms, different egg variations, sandwiches and more. By the way, there is an extra selection for children (e.g. the bambino sandwich).
In addition to its own website, you can also find SOCO on Facebook and Instagram.
Locations
SOCO has two locations in Mérida:
Centro: Calle 51, No. 492C, Centro
Norte: Calle 20, No. 46A, México Norte
