First-Hand Insights on SOCO Mérida and Norte

SOCO Mérida is a small artisan bakery and café just two blocks southeast of Parque de Santa Lucía. For many, it's the best bakery in town.

Over time, the owners have expanded the bakery  in the city center into a full café, and they even opened a second location, SOCO Norte, in the México Norte neighborhood - yes, in the north of Mérida.

Fresh Bread, Great Coffee & More

Every morning, fresh bread, baguettes, rolls, croissants, and sweet pastries are baked the traditional way. If you love sourdough, definitely give it a try. That alone is a great reason to stop by, but the café also has plenty more to offer.

For breakfast, you can get dishes like avocado toast with a poached egg, French toast with fresh raspberries and blackberries, or yogurt with homemade mint sauce and granola with seasonal fruit.

They also serve tortilla Española with mushrooms, a variety of egg dishes, sandwiches, and more. There's even a special menu for kids, including the bambino sandwich.
