First-Hand Insights on Parque de Deportes Extremos

Parque de Deportes Extremos is a relatively new sports park that opened at the end of 2021. It offers 17 different activities for kids, ranging from options for small children to attractions that require a minimum height of 1.40 meters.

In addition to the main attractions, there is a recreation area, a multi purpose field, a soccer field, picnic areas, and a dedicated play space for younger kids. If you are looking for an active day out with the family, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Fun Activities for Kids and Adults

Despite the name, not all activities are as extreme as it might sound, there are

  • pedal go karts and a zip line,

  • a climbing tower and elevated climbing courses,

  • trampolines, a giant slide, a maze,

  • a spider web tower,

and several other fun options. Most activities in the Parque de Deportes Extremos are mainly geared toward children, but there are separate elevated climbing courses for younger kids and for older kids and adults.

Park staff are present throughout to ensure safety and provide assistance when needed, so you don’t have to keep an eye on your kids at all times.

A Few More Tips

Shortly after opening, the park is not yet very busy, because people are still at work and the children are at school. Then later in the day (and generally on weekends) it often gets pretty crowded. Therefore, the best time is during the week shortly after opening.

Since the sports activities are all outdoors, you should also pay attention to the weather.

Especially between April and June, and generally around midday from 12 to 3 PM, temperatures are at their highest, but there are some covered shady areas on-site, which is definitely a big plus.

You are not allowed to bring food, but the park offers several options, for example, there are crepes, chips, nachos, cotton candy or small cakes for sale.

Poniente Ecological Park

The Parque Ecológico del Poniente (Poniente Ecological Park), is right across the street from the extreme sports park. If you're already in the area, it's worth checking out.

Especially if you’re looking for a quieter spot with green spaces and walking paths, it’s a good place to take a break or go for a stroll. The park boasts an artificial lake, filled with water lilies and other aquatic plants.
