First-Hand Insights on Paseo 60

Like so often in Mérida, if you’re not paying attention, you can easily walk right past some really interesting spots – from the outside, you’d never guess what’s hiding behind the door.

Paseo 60 (or P60) is located on Calle 60, a popular shopping street, which runs parallel to Paseo de Montejo. Paseo 60 isn't a giant shopping center but it combines on two levels shopping, dining and entertainment.

You'll for example find Crabster and Teya among the restaurants, which specialize in upscale Yukatek dishes. In the so-called gourmet market you will also find pizza, burgers, tapas, sushi, crêpes and more.

Besides offering a range of options in gastronomy, beauty, fashion, and handicrafts, the venue also features a variety of activities designed especially for children

Food at Paseo 60

Evening Live Music

The modern complex has a big courtyard. Live music starts every night between 9:00 pm and 9:30 pm but it's best to arrive as early as 8:00 pm to get a nice table, as some evenings the place fills up quickly.

If you don't want it to be quite so loud, you can choose a table a little further away from the stage. The atmosphere is dignified and prices are accordingly a bit upscale.

Architecture and History

Paseo 60 is not just a shopping and dining hub, but also architecturally interesting. The large complex includes the NH Collection Hotel, and right next to it, you’ll find the Hyatt Regency, a 5-star hotel with 289 rooms.

The site has an interesting history. It was once home to an ore processing plant, and instead of completely erasing the past, some of the old machinery has been repurposed into creative sculptures. This mix of modern design and industrial heritage gives the place a unique character.

The ADO Terminal

The ADO terminal at Paseo 60 is centrally located on Calle 60, near the Hyatt Regency and Avenida Colón. This terminal mainly serves ADO’s first-class and premium routes, offering connections to popular destinations like Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Valladolid, and Chichén Itzá.

If you’re heading there, you’ll also find bus stops nearby, with Calle 35 just 30 meters away and Calle 60 about 90 meters from the terminal.
