First-Hand Insights on Fundación de Artistas
Fundación de Artistas was a nonprofit arts center that opened in February 2015 to support creative expression and challenge traditional art norms. It closed permanently in 2024.
Attention, the Fundación de Artistas is permanently closed
The foundation was relatively unknown, especially among non-residents. A small and inconspicuous sign marked the entrance, and even Google Maps did not recognize its existence. This low profile gave it the charm of a true insider tip.
Located in a colonial home in Mérida’s historic center, Fundación de Artistas provided space for rotating art exhibitions and hosted various programs designed to engage and educate the local community.
While it is no longer in operation, it remains a memorable part of the city’s artistic history.
